A Celebration of the Liturgical Year Through Sacred Song!
Join the Brighton St. Patrick Traditional and Renaissance Choirs on Friday, May 29. The concert will be at 7 p.m. in the church.
The choirs will sing pieces from Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, Ascension, Pentecost, Marian feasts, and Christ the King Sundays. The compositions will include early Baroque through 21st-century pieces, including Palestrina, Victoria, Bach, Handel, Mozart, Fauré, Shaw, Vaughan Williams, and more.
Throughout the concert, a narrator will guide us through the liturgical year, in which the Scriptures and music about the life of Jesus Christ and His Church are proclaimed. Come pray, learn, and contemplate God’s eternal majesty, love, and will with us as it has been demonstrated throughout history.
St. Patrick is located at 711 Rickett Road in Brighton, Michigan.
