Contest Policy

Effective Date: May 7, 2026

1. No Purchase Necessary
No purchase or financial contribution is required to enter or win any Ave Maria Radio contest. Making a donation will not increase your chances of winning.

2. Eligibility

Location: Contests are open only to legal residents of the United States of America.

Age: Participants must be at least 18 years of age unless otherwise specified for a specific event (e.g., 21+ for certain venues).

Exclusions: Employees of Ave Maria Radio, its parent organization, participating sponsors, other media outlets in the market, and their immediate family members (spouses, parents, siblings, children) are ineligible.

Frequency: Individuals or households may only win one prize every 30 days.

3. Entry Methods
The specific entry method (e.g., on-air call-in, online form, or social media interaction) will be announced at the start of each contest.

Call-in Contests: For contests requiring a specific caller (e.g., "caller number 9"), the first person to reach the station and satisfy all requirements is the winner.

Online/App Entries: One entry is allowed per person/email address unless noted.

4. Prizes and Valuation

Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

The nature and estimated retail value of the prize will be disclosed on-air or in specific contest announcements.

Tax Responsibility: Winners are responsible for all applicable local, state, and federal taxes. For prizes valued at $2,000* or more, an IRS Form 1099 may be issued.

5. Winner Selection and Notification

Winners will be selected via the method announced (e.g.,random drawing or first correct answer).

If a winner cannot be contacted within 24 hours, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.

Winners must provide valid government-issued photo identification to claim prizes.

6. Publicity Release
By participating, winners grant Ave Maria Radio the right to use their name, voice, and likeness for promotional purposes without further compensation.

7. Right to Amend
Ave Maria Radio reserves the right to amend these rules or terminate a contest at any time. Any material changes will be announced on-air within 24 hours and updated on this page.
