Guest of Honor
Introducing our Guest of Honor: Fr. Matthew Kurt
Father Matthew Kurt has become a treasured part of the St. Catherine of Siena Academy community. Through his regular celebration of Mass, his presence in the lives of our students, and his willingness to accompany them in service, he has helped our young women grow in their faith.
This past March, Father Matthew joined ten SCA students on their mission to Puerto Rico. Together, they served a community still rebuilding after Hurricane Maria, restoring a neighborhood chapel. Father Matthew did more than celebrate Mass and guide the students. He picked up a paintbrush and worked right alongside them, sharing in the work and the experience. His example showed our girls what it means to put faith into action.
Father Matthew first felt called to the priesthood while spending time in adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. Today, he is preparing for a new chapter of service as a military chaplain, answering God's call to care for the spiritual needs of those who serve our nation and their families.
We are deeply grateful for the time Father Matthew has spent with our community and for the example he has given our young women. It is our privilege to recognize him at this year's Gala.
