Sidewalk Witnesses for Life will be observing the tragic 5th anniversary of abortions being performed at Planned Parenthood in Naples on Monday September 15th. There have been over 2,000 abortions since they began in 2009.
But we’ll also be “Celebrating Hope” that day, mindful of all the good, faithful people like you who’ve been there praying and offering life-affirming alternatives all these years, and mindful of the blessings we’ve seen so far – most importantly, at least one or two babies’ lives saved because their mothers talked with us on the sidewalk and decided not to have their scheduled abortions.
Bishop Frank J. Dewane of the Diocese of Venice will start the celebration off with Mass at 8AM at St William’s followed by a short program with coffee and donuts. Following the program at St William’s there will be the “Bishops Walk for Life” procession and prayer at Planned Parenthood at the corners of Creech and Goodlette Frank roads at 10AM.
Numerous churches and schools have been invited to participate. Please join us in the Celebration of Hope on Monday, September 15th in support of LIFE.

FORTNIGHT MOVIE NIGHT!!!!! St William Catholic Church will be showing the 1943 movie: THIS LAND IS MINE!
Starring Charles Laughton, Maureen O’Hara, and George Sanders. The film is set in an unspecified Nazi-occupied
European country. Laughton plays a cowardly school teacher who is drawn into the Resistance through love of his country.
This courageous story invites us all to think “how should I respond to the loss of my liberties?” and “Can our silence
contribute to the loss of our inalienable rights?”
