Ave Maria Town Spring Fling Festival

Ave Maria Town Center will host a Spring Fling event on Saturday, April 5 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Town Center. The event features outdoor music by Moony Mann Band, prize drawings throughout the day, and food and beverages from town center merchants including Milano’s Pizza, Queen Mary Pub, Scoopz Ice Cream, and Tropical Smoothie. A car show will be on display by West Coast Muscle Car Club and Cool Cruisers. The event is scheduled during the town’s Model Mania Week, April 1 – 7, where visitors are invited to tour 17 model homes including two new models at Hampton Village by Pulte Homes.

“Michigan to Florida – AMU from Then to 10!” Presented by Michael Dauphinais, Ph.D., AMU Dean of Faculty and VP for Academic Affairs. Dr. Dauphinais, who has been with Ave Maria University since its founding in 2003, will share the interesting pilgrimage from Michigan to Naples, and finally to the town of Ave Maria. He received his doctorate in Systematic Theology from the University of Notre Dame and is a member of the American Academy of Religion and is the author of several books. Faith & Ale – Fort Myers

Faith & Ale is a monthly gathering of Catholic men. On March 20 we will be having our annual Spouse Night so men and their wives are invited to hear from our special guest speaker, Patrick Coffin. Patrick is the radio host of CATHOLIC ANSWERS LIVE. His message will center on the Blessed Mother and is titled, IS MARY REALLY CONTRARY? The event will take place at 6 PM at the Harborside Event Center in downtown Fort Myers.

Feast of St Joseph Mass & Celebration

This year, St. William Catholic Church will promote the spirit of St. Joseph with charity to our entire Christian Community to participate in the Feast of St. Joseph on March 19, 2014.
The feast day celebration will include an Italian Mass which will be at 2:00PM, presided by Father Arnold D’Achille. Following the Mass, the Church congregation will process around the Church into the Church Hall for the partaking of the traditional foods of the St. Joseph Table.
In the spirit of Charity, we would be pleased to accept donations for our St. Joseph Day Table, in the way of baked sweets and savory items (please no cheese or meat). Items should be in small servings on trays and dropped off at the parish hall prior to the Mass. Also, sponsorship and / or donations are in need for Flowers, Flags, St. Joseph Medals, Prayer Cards and Programs.

March 19 “Interpretation of Scripture for Catholics” Reading the Bible through the Lens of our Tradition. March 26 “Synoptic Summary” An Overview of Mark, Matthew and Luke (April 2—-No session due to the Parish Mission on 3/30—4/2) April 9 “Who is Jesus Christ?” Comparing Paul’s Writings & the Synoptic Gospels with the Gospel of John. April 16 “Pope Francis and Scripture” Our Holy Father’s Living Example. Presented by Dr. John “Jack” T. Conroy, Jr. Dr. Conroy received his Ph.D. in Theology from the University of Notre Dame in 2008. The focus of his study was on Hellenistic Judaism and Christian Origins. As a professor for the Rice School, he teaches extensively in both the Hebrew Scriptures and the Christian Scriptures. He and his wife, Joan, live in Naples and
attend St. Ann Parish.
