A Novena in honor of the Divine Mercy is being celebrated from April 3 to April 11, at St. Albert the Great Church, 4855 Parker, Dearborn Heights, MI 48125. The Feast of Divine Mercy is being celebrated April 12, 2015. The priests conducting the Novena and Divine Mercy Sunday are Fr. Dan Zaleski, Fr. Ben Luedtke, and Fr. John Hedges.
On April 6-10, the Mass, Novena, and Chaplet, start at 7:00 PM. Confessions start at 6:00 PM. The bookstore is open after Mass and Devotions.

Finding GOD in Lent with Fr. Leo Patalinghug

St. Michael’s welcomes EWTN’s “Cooking Priest”, Fr. Leo Patalinghug, for a special 3-evening Lenten Mission, on March 22nd, 23rd, and 24th at 7 PM in the church. Fr. Leo, one of the most dynamic, enthusiastic, inspiring, and spiritually sound speakers who have ever heard, will be speaking about “Finding God in the Communion of Saints”, “Finding God in His Mother”, and “Finding God at the Lord’s Table”. An informal reception will follow each evening’s presentation. Childcare is available by reservation only at www.livoniastmichael.org.

Chant and Sacred Music: We’ve Got the Beat!

Wassim Sarweh, an international expert in sacred chant and polyphony, will discuss the importance of music and the Traditional Latin Mass when he presents “Chant and Sacred Music: We’ve Got the Beat!” at the reception following the 9:45a.m. Mass in the Extraordinary Form. Wassim is the Director of Choir for Oakland County Latin Mass Association. He also directs a professional choir at St. Alphonsus and Holy Name of Mary, Windsor.
All are welcome to join us for Mass and remain for refreshments and enrichment. Come and learn about the Gregorian Masses sung at the Academy Masses.

Deacon Rich Badics to Lead Eucharistic Procession to Planned Parenthood in Ann Arbor!

On Saturday, March 28th at 11:15am you are invited to attend a public Procession of the Eucharist lead by Deacon Rich Badics, through the streets of Ann Arbor from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2250 East Stadium Blvd to the Planned Parenthood Abortion Facility, 3100 Professional Drive. This mile and a third journey of faith and devotion to the Blessed Sacrament will begin in the church and proceed to Planned Parenthood, with recitation of the rosary and praise and worship. The Ann Arbor 40 Days For Life team welcomes the community, young and old alike, to join us. In case of bad weather, there will be Eucharistic Adoration with praise and worship from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm at St. Francis. Monastic Experience Weekend

Single Catholic men 18 years of age or older are invited to spend two days (April 10 – 11) at St. Benedict Monastery and participate in liturgies, meals and other activities that are typical in the monastery. In addition to learning more about monastic life, there will be opportunities for personal reflection, reception of the sacrament of reconciliation and Eucharistic Adoration. This is not a recruitment event, but an opportunity for men to participate in an experience at the monastery and explore the possibility that monastic life is the Lord’s will in their lives.
