Elevate: Summer Concert

Elevate 2014 is a Free Outdoor Summer Concert (Hip Hop, EDM, Alternative) on July 6th from 1-8pm.
The Event is sponsored by The American Dream Project a group of concerned business owners form Whitmore Lake. Along with live music, there will be interactive games, a pie eating contest at 2pm, Urban Street Dance Showcase 2:15pm, Swing Dancing with instruction 3-4p, and more. La Vega Mexican Grill will have food for sale onsite and the Whitmore Lake Band Boosters will be selling Hot Dogs to help support the High School Marching Band.

The artists performing at Elevate 2014 include Mountain Whales, Signals, Jake and Rolo, Jude Buckingham and DJ Cuddles.

“The Future of Religious Freedom in America: WHERE ARE WE?”

St. Michael’s observance of the Conference of Catholic Bishop’s 3rd annual Fortnight for Freedom features a presentation on the future of religious freedom in America by Al Kresta, President and CEO of Ave Maria Communications. Former evangelical pastor and Detroit area radio talk show host, Kresta has become a well-known Catholic author, speaker, and host of the week-day program, “Kresta in the Afternoon”. Mr. Kresta returns to St. Michael’s for his 2nd Fortnight for Freedom presentation.

Reception following Mass on July 20. Alex Begin, producer of the beautiful television series “Extraordinary Faith,” will join us to discuss the story behind the series. After shooting in multiple locations around the globe, Alex soon will bring the story close to home, filming a segment in metro Detroit in late June.
