Archbishop Sean Larkin* joins us to comment on Pope Francis’ urging for conversation amongst christians.
(we plan to begin the presentation at 7:30 p.m., Q&A to follow)
Archbishop Sean encountered the reality of The Holy Spirit in 1976 through the ministry of Fr. Dennis Bennett (wife Rita) and his book Nine O’Clock in the Morning.
From 1977-1980, together with Gill, his wife, he was part of the “core” group for a Roman Catholic Charismatic Prayer Group based in “the Cenacle” Manchester. Encountering the spiritual of St. Teresa of Avila he later trained as an Ignatian Spiritual Director.
In 2006 he was asked by Prof. Matteo Calisi (President of the Catholic Fraternity & leader of the Jesus Community in Bari) to accompany him on the journey of reconciliation. As a Traditional (Consecrated St. Polycarp, 2002) Anglican Bishop, Sean has shared in the suffering and joy of serving Christ’s Church on a united front.
In 2010, together with Gill, they became leaders within the hitherto Roman Catholic “Community of Jesus” and now are responsible for the “Anglican Expression.”
Believing that Healing Ministry is part of the Gospel message he has a great desire to see God’s people equipped and empowered for ministry.
We welcome Archbishop Sean to our event with the permission of Monsignor Raica.
