The Rain Conference will be August 1st and 2nd. Rain is a conference for people who desire to live radical lives of devotion to Jesus and to bring his love and power to a broken world so that our homes, community, and cities might be transformed. The conference will focus on things that will help saints of all ages grow in intimacy with God, and live in wholehearted abandonment to Jesus, as they win the lost, heal the sick and do work of justice.

The On the Rise Bakery Café is celebrating its grand opening, Saturday, July 26, at 8900 Gratiot Ave (corner of Rohns and Gratiot, three blocks west of McClellan), 10 am – 2:00 pm. The blessing of the bakery will take place at 10:00 am followed by tours and samples of the new bakery sandwiches and desserts. The 1900 square foot facility, with seating for 25-30, showcases the Capuchin Soup Kitchen’s bakery’s delicious breads, cookies, sweet rolls, pies, and cinnamon rolls.

The Oakland County Latin Mass Association extends a warm welcome to join us for the weekly celebration of the High Mass in Extraordinary Form (the “Tridentine” or “Latin Mass”) at 9:45 AM.
Easy to follow English-Latin Missals will be available.
Confessions heard at 9:00 AM the first Sunday of every month.

For this Sunday’s Mass Mob at St. Joseph, the 28-voice St. Joseph’s Men Schola will be singing the Mass of the Sacred Heart by Rheinberger, Tu Es Petrus by Refice, and Exsultate Justi by Viadana. (Their 2013 CD will be available after Mass for $10 to benefit the music program at St. Joseph’s.) The Chant Choir will sing the Gregorian Chant Propers of the day, and the Ss. Cyril & Methodius Women’s Schola will present works by Rheinberger, Mendelssohn, Remondi, and Elgar. Be sure to get a music sheet on your way into Mass so you can join in singing the hymns and the Prayer Responses, including the Credo and Pater Noster

We are a local group of the American Chesterton Society. We meet monthly to discuss the writings of GK Chesterton. Our current book is Orthodoxy, at this meeting we will finish up Chapter 7 and move on to Chapter 8. All are welcome.

Third Mass of our 104th Annual Multi-ethnic Novena to Ste. Anne, celebrating French and Grandmothers. Followed by special devotions to Ste. Anne, a procession with veneration of relics of Ste. Anne, and fellowship with entertainment and light refreshments. Celebrate 313 years of Catholic Presence in “de 3-1-3.”
