Vatican Exhibit of Eucharistic Miracles

This is the second half of the Eucharistic miracles exhibit that we had at our parish during Lent. Read the details of over 80 Eucharistic miracles from many different countries. Donations will be accepted for the Real Presence Apostolate of Michigan, the owners of the exhibit.

Fortnight for Freedom

The Fortnight for Freedom- Freedom to Serve will take place from June 21 to July 4, 2014, a time when our liturgical calendar celebrates a series of great martyrs who remained faithful in the face of persecution by political power—St. Thomas More and St. John Fisher, St. John the Baptist, SS. Peter and Paul, and the First Martyrs of the Church of Rome. The theme of this year’s Fortnight will focus on the freedom to serve the poor and vulnerable in accord with human dignity and the Church’s teaching.

In observance of this years Fortnight for Freedom called for USCCB, St William Catholic Church in Naples, will again participate with 14 days of Prayer, Fasting and Action to promote a greater understanding of Religious Liberty with: EUCHARISTIC HOLY HOURS FOR THE FREEDOM TO SERVE THE POOR & DISADVANTAGED following the 8:00 AM daily Mass, Mondays – Saturdays, from Saturday, June 21 – July 4 The service will include: Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament – Scripture reading/reflection – Rosary – Litany for Liberty and ending with Benediction.
All are welcome to attend and participate.

8th Annual The Walk by Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan

Event fosters hope & support for 4,500 Michigan families affected by leukemia, lymphoma & related blood disorders. 10am Boulan Park 3671 Crooks Rd Troy MI 48098. Non-competitive-scenic walk, special opening ceremonies, entertainment, lunch by Buffalo Wild Wings & Bagger Dave’s, water station at halfway mark, & support. Ages 6+$30 participation fee. 5 & under-$0. Fee included in fundraising goal. Walkers who raise at least $100 receive a commemorative WALK t-shirt & are eligible for other prizes.

4th Annual Statewide Catholic Singles Picnic

Held RAIN OR SHINE (we will have rainy day activities available if need be). Located just south of Lansing. Cost is $7 plus park entrance fee of $3 for Ingham Co. residents/$5 for non-residents.

Once in the park follow signs to the North Bluff Picnic Shelter. We’ll be collecting the $7 at the park.

Pavilion has gorgeous view of the Grand River, mature trees, with plenty of space for meeting new people & catching up with old friends, playing games, and more.

BYOBeverage (no alcohol please), lawn chair, and a dish to pass. (Please note: As much as we love potato chips, they don’t constitute a “dish to pass”.) Eating at 5 pm.

We provide meat, table service, and bonfire!!

Corpus Christi Morning Conference

Corpus Christi Morning Confernce, Saturday, June 21. Mass at 8:00 followed by Continental Breakfast. Two noted speakers include Dr. Robert Fastiggi, Professor of Systematic Theology, Sacred Heart Major Seminary, Speaking on “The Mass as Christ’s Sacrifice: Implications for the Real Presence” and Debra Herbeck, Evangelist and Author speaking on “The Gift of Unending Love” Speakers are from 9;30 to 11:30. The conference ends with and Hour of Power, An hour of Eucharistic Adoration. RSVP needed only if attending the breakfast to 734.667.2287 or to rpa@rapmichigan.org
