Music of Holy Week

The Friends of Music of Bay City’s Trinity Episcopal Church, 815 N. Grant St., host the concert on Palm Sunday, April 13, 2014, at 4:00 p.m. The program will be repeated at First Congregational Church, 403 S. Jefferson, in Saginaw at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 18, 2014. The program is open to the public free of charge. A reception hosted by Friends of Music will be held in the Guild Room following the program. Barrier free access is available at both sites off the west parking lots. Exhibition of Replica of the Shroud of Turin

This entire Holy Week (from Palm Sunday through Easter Sunday), a replica of the burial cloth of Christ will be on exhibit and open to the public, beginning with a special presentation by Msgr. Todd Lajiness, Rector of Sacred Heart Major Seminary, on Palm Sunday from 1 to 2:30 PM. Msgr. Lajiness will present a brief history of the shroud, an examination of the wounds shown, some contemporary debate on its authenticity, and a Lenten meditation. The shroud will be open to the public on Easter Sunday from 9 AM until 2 PM. See the parish website at www.livoniastmichael.org for complete exhibition hours.
