Catholic Women’s Walk features a mass at 7:00PM and then a featured guest speaker. For this event Catherine Zardus will be the featured speaker and the Parable Project will be performed.
St William’s Catholic will host the icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa as part of the Ocean to Ocean Pilgrimage in Defense of Life. The icon will be on display for veneration following 8:00am MassTuesday, February 11th until 10:00am Wednesday, February 12th.
Following the 12:10pm Mass, Tuesday, February 11th, there will be a special service including Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Rosary, talk by Fr. West of HLI, the Divine Mercy Chaplet ending with Benediction.
“Teens Using Drugs: What To Know and What To Do” is a free, ongoing, two-part series. Part 1 provides information on how to recognize and understand adolescent substance abuse. Part 2 provides information on what should and should not be done to help when a teen substance abuse problem is suspected, and concludes with a short talk by a young person in recovery.
The series is presented on the first (part 1) and second (part 2) Tuesday evenings of each month in October and November and from January through June, from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Programs will be presented by Dawn Farm and Growth Work adolescent substance abuse therapists. The program is co-sponsored by Dawn Farm, the Livingston and Washtenaw Regional Coordinated School Health Program Advisory Team, and Saint Joseph Mercy Health System Greenbrook Recovery Center.
All presentations are free and open to the public. The presentations are targeted primarily to parents and caretakers of teens, but are also inclusive of teens, family members, people who work with teens, students, and anyone interested in attending for any reason. All are welcome to attend! Registration is not required. A certificate of attendance can be provided. Free literature will be available.
