“Called to New Visions”: A Morning of Reflection for Liturgical Ministers
Join us for a morning of prayer, song and recollection as we deepen our reflection on ministry as a practice rooted in the richness of the Gospel. We are called to continual conversion and commitment. We will explore the intersection of our diverse ministries as well as what makes them distinctive to renew and refocus ourselves for the lives of our communities and for the life of the world.
A light breakfast at 7 am will be followed by Mass at 8 am. Then Father Andrew Kowalcyzk of the Congregation of St Michael the Archangel and pastor of St Clare of Montefalco Parish will give a talk on the attributes of St Michael.
The name Michael means “Who is like God”. Our goal as Christians is to follow Jesus and to be “like” him.
St Michael is the leader of the forces of heaven in their triumph over the powers of hell. St Michael is the patron saint of firemen and paratroopers. The Church is under attack from all directions and looking at the attributes of God’s warrior will give men an understanding of how we can be strong and defend our faith in these troubled times. Time for Reflection will be provided then the retreat will close with a light lunch.
We invite all men to come and bring their sons to understand St Michael and how we as men are part of the defeat of Satan in our world.
This event is being hosted by Knights of Columbus St Clare of Montefalco Council #12479
