AGENT ORANGE LEGACY TOWN HALL
Agent Orange Exposure results in consequential diseases to Vietnam Vets
Chapter 528 is sponsoring an Agent Orange Town Hall on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Northville High School. The objective is to inform and register veterans, their families and community, that have been affected by Agent Orange and other dioxins used during the Vietnam War up to the present.
The effects of these dioxins are carried in the DNA of the affected person for up to seven generations. It is important that this information be made available to all concerned, including the general public and medical profession. The National Academy of Sciences and Veterans Administration has connected Agent Orange and other dioxin exposure during this period, to include 12 diseases, 38 cancers, and 20 birth defects. Our veterans will not be around to make future generations aware of the possible debilitating health problems passed on to their heirs. This Town Hall will be a stepping stone.
Through education people will be able to use the resources available to obtain help for themselves, their family and also how to contact their legislators about these poisons that are affecting their everyone’s wellbeing.
