The U.S. bishops have convoked the second annual Fortnight for Freedom, a two-week period of prayer and action, to address many current challenges to religious liberty, including the August 1, 2013 deadline for religious organizations to comply with the HHS mandate, Supreme Court rulings that could attempt to redefine marriage in June, and religious liberty concerns in areas such as immigration and humanitarian services.

SAGINAW, MI — Meredith Broadcasting and Channel 5, WNEM have given the 1250-AM radio station to Ave Maria Communications.

On Saturday, May 18, Bishop Boyea ordained to the diaconate 16 men of the Diocese of Lansing.  St. Thomas Aquinas Church in East Lansing, Michigan, was packed with over 1,000 worshippers, along with over 100 priests and deacons of the diocese.

Among those ordained, was Ave Maria Radio Development Director and Co-host of Notes From Above, Tom Loewe, who was assigned to St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
